As part of the Latvian contemporary design exhibition and event cycle «Design Manifestation», «Design Walks» take place in Riga, revealing the processes behind graphic, product, interior and food design. While the Graphic Design Walk has already passed, this weekend, February 27 and 28, brings the next one — Product Design Walk, offering to meet fashion, interior, lifestyle and cosmetic product designers and learn about their experience in person.
There are products that we cannot imagine our life without, and then there are others that we chose only after a long contemplation. With some we are together just for a while, but some are with us for a lifetime. This walk invites everyone interested to a conversation with people that create indispensable, beautiful and pleasant objects, to look inside the process of making them and learn about the diverse aspects of design in every product.
During the Product Design Walk household and interior design labels «Munio Home», «an&angel», «Rijada», «Rīgas Krēslu Fabrika», «Nakts Mēbeles» and «Vannu Fabrika», fashion design labels «NJ Studija», «Elīna Dobele» and concept store «Taste Latvia», cosmetics producers «Stenders», «Madara Cosmetics» and «Dzintars», bicycle manufacture «Ērenpreiss», as well as Riga School of Design and Art, will open their doors for public. Everyone is welcome to visit design studios, stores and factories, yet some of the hosts have to be informed before the visit.
