Continuing the tradition, the conteporary photgraphy platform ISSP is publishing its annual planner, which includes 35 photographs by Latvian and international artists. The theme for 2026 is Blooming, which, in conjunction with the upcoming 20th anniversary of ISSP, is an expression of growth, life, and resistance.

The ISSP planner is a handy, functional, and aesthetically pleasing design object that combines the functions of a weekly planner, a journal, and a notebook. Since its first release in 2013, it has become a favourite and reliable daily companion for those who like to plan their daily life and thoughts with the help of notes. The planner includes monthly and weekly spreads with space for notes, a yearly calendar, international holidays, and Latvian name days, as well as a notebook for personal memos and a pocket for documents. The main language of the planner is English.

The current edition also marks the 20th anniversary of ISSP. The botanical metaphor of blooming becomes a bridge from the personal to the political, allowing artists to explore creativity and self-expression, concern and solidarity, love and resistance in the face of violence, inequality, and ecological crises. The act of flowering symbolises growth, vitality, and resistance — a subtle yet unstoppable gesture representing life and beauty even in the most unfavourable conditions.

The 2026 planner includes 35 carefully selected images from 27 Latvian and international artists, including works by Annemarija Gulbe, Rūta Kalmuka, Una Taal, Anna Dzērve, and other artists.

The ISSP planner was designed by long-time ISSP partner Artis Briedis. The publication is produced in collaboration with Antalis Creative Power and the VV Foundation. The planner can be ordered from the ISSP online shop, as well as purchased at the ISSP Gallery in Bergs Bazaar.
