The ED Agencies League ranking was established to mark the twentieth anniversary of the European Design Awards, with the aim of highlighting the quality of designers’ work over a longer period of time. The ranking takes into account awards received over the past five years, the continuity of recognition, and other factors that allow long-term professional performance to be assessed.

Congratulating Alexey Murashko, the director of the European Design Awards, Demetrios Fakinos, emphasised: «This list is a powerful reminder that anyone can rise to the top at the European Design Awards. What counts is the quality of the work, not the country of origin, the size of the studio ,or the fame of the name.»

Overall, Alexey has received three Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze awards at the European Design Awards, and his work has also been recognised in other major competitions. In 2025, his publication Lorem Ipsum. Testus Nostra Nihil Interest was shortlisted for the prestigious Best Book Design From All Over the World competition, while a year earlier the book was added to the collection of rare books and manuscripts of the National Library of Latvia, confirming its cultural and artistic significance. The photobook Binde. 100–10, which Aleksejs created as co-editor and designer, also became a finalist of the Lucie Photo Book Prize after receiving a Gold award at the European Design Awards in 2025.

Alexey Murashko specialises in editorial design and visual communication for cultural projects. His work combines typographic mastery, material experimentation, and conceptual thinking.
