Winner of the industrial design category — skiing support tool «Againer». Author — «Skippi»

On Saturday night at Riga Technical University Creative Industries Centre winners of the Annual Design Awards 2013 were announced in interior, fashion, photo, environmental and industrial design nominations, countless subcategories, as well as in the informal competition «EU Latvia» and Students’ Awards.

The submitted work was judged by a different jury in each category, consisting of professionals of the respective field from Latvia and abroad. The Awards were organised by Latvian Designers’ Society in collaboration with Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia.

Interior design

The main award went to Zane Tetere and Elīna Tetere from «Open AD» for the office interior of «4Finance» company.

Fashion / textile design

The main award went to Baiba Rulle for the curtain collection «White».

Industrial design

The main award went to Svjatoslavs Oļeiņikovs, Artjoms Bugo, Jānis Valeika, Valdis Valeika, Aleksandrs Smertjevs and Jānis Kārkliņš, all representatives of the company «SKIPPI» for the skiing enhancement tool «Againer».

Environmental design

The main award went to Uģis Zābers and architecture office «SZK.Z» for the facade of apartment building «The Home» at Dzintaru prospekts 32, Jurmala.

Graphic design

The main award went to Ingūna Elere and Tatjana Raičiņeca from «H2E» for the design of the book «Lsx20. Art Years of the National Currency».

Photo design

The main award went to Anita Rozīte from Professional School of photography for the work «Bellus Flics».

Informal competition «EU Latvia»

The main award went to Karīna Vītiņa from Riga Art and Design secondary school for a collection of transformable shoes «I Was Here».
