Naked Truth Nº209— Gundega Turnele

Until December 30, the annual student’s exhibition and charity fair «Jarmarka» takes place at the Art Academy of Latvia. More than 10 000 artworks and design pieces — paintings, drawings, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, and fashion items — are displayed at the Great Hall of the Academy. This year the charity budget of «Jarmarka» will be used to partially cover the costs of repair works and restoration of the historical Art Noveau building of the Academy in Riga as well as the painter’s Janis Kuga house in Ikšķile. «Jarmarka» is organised by the Art Academy and the society «Kultūras Perons», led by Gundega Turnele.
